Yes, price is always important, but for many of our customers, quality and delivery are equally important.

We have had customers leave us to buy cheaper parts from Asia, and they're now back buying from us again because we provide superior quality parts and can meet their delivery requirements.

When bargain parts are sitting in a container ship in the Pacific Ocean on the day that they're scheduled to be used in production, they aren't much of a bargain after all.

A VERY HIGH PRICE

 

A customer of ours makes hunting arrows.

The arrow heads or points are threaded, and they screw into a point insert inside the shaft of the arrow so that they're interchangeable for different uses and weight.

This company had been buying point inserts from our competitor, paying two cents less per piece than we had quoted.

But the threads in the competitor's point inserts weren't 100% perfect and customers complained that the arrows were defective.

Fearing that they would lose loyal, long-time customers and anger the large retail chains that sold their arrows, they finally understood that if they bought the inserts from us, at two cents more per piece, they could stop the complaints, keep their customers loyal, and maintain their well-deserved reputation for top quality products.

That's what they did.
